The Diani Beach is 30km south of Mombasa, so it is a 6-7hr trip from Nairobi on rail or road, but with flight options through the Mombasa airport and Ukunda airstrip, 1h 45mins gets you there. Beach hotels are in abundance, with nearby AirBnBs to supplement the accommodation options.

Diani is a popular destination for kite surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and windsurfing, Diani Beach is close to the Shimba Hills National Reserve, a wildlife reserve where visitors can spot animals like Black-and-white Colobus monkeys.
